About Us

Picture
The PulangMengundi.com website is a neutral platform that aims to
  • Connect Malaysians with other Malaysians to help them travel home to vote by providing:
    • Car-pooling services
    • Travel subsidies

#PulangMengundi was a trend started by concerned Malaysians (not us!) to help other Malaysians travel home to vote in the 14th General Election on 9th May 2018.

We are a group of young Malaysians inspired by this trend.

We do not collect or disburse money. We merely help connect people with other people.

We are not affiliated with any political party.

Strategic Partners

Picture
Malaysian civil society is particularly energized prior to GE14.

The cause

Our cause - Malaysians helping Malaysians to vote - is greater than any single initiative alone.

This is why we want to explicitly list our Strategic Partners - so that we can all improve collectively.

We are better together

We are proud to welcome our fellow Malaysian GE14 Initiatives #CarpoolGE14, balik.undirabu.com, and @Pulang_Mengundi as our Strategic Partners.

#CarpoolGE14

The brainchild of @nizambakeri and @annieveeee, #CarpoolGE14 started on Twitter on 10th April 2018.

Their aim was to help connect as many Malaysians who are seeking to carpool with fellow Malaysians.

To date, the #CarpoolGE14 initiative has reached more than 94,000 Impressions in the Twitter-sphere.

Pulangmengundi.com complements #CarpoolGE14 's initiative by providing a platform for Riders and Drivers to search for other Riders and Drivers heading to home to vote.

Balik.undirabu.com

Balik.undirabu.com started a crowdfunding initiative on https://www.mystartr.com/projects/undirabu to fund buses to ferry eligible voters who face transport difficulties in going home to cast their vote. They have received tremendous response, hitting their RM 40,000 target in 24 hours. With more than RM 77,000 donated, they have doubled their initial target to 14 routes, this translates to 1,000 seats going home to vote.

We want to applaud the hard work that the balik.undirabu.com team has done. Their team consists of members from the Youth Section of The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia, KLSCAH Wanita, The Federation Of Chinese Association Of Kelantan (Youth Section), Negeri Sembilan Chinese Assembly Hall Youth Section, Melaka Chinese Assembly Hall Youth Section, Pahang Chinese Assembly Hall Youth Section and KLSCAH Youth.

Pulangmengundi.com is now working closely together with UNDIRABU.com via the channels:
  1. Travel Subsidy
balik.undirabu.com and their users will make donations to voters who need the funds via PulangMengundi.com
  2. Carpool
Direct PulangMengundi.com riders looking for transport to redeem free bus tickets from the 14 routes that balik.undirabu.com currently service.
